Meet coach Dani.
I believe fitness and skills fluctuate over time. There are moments when you are learning and growing and there are others where you are at your best. Whatever stage of your fitness or cycling journey you are in, I am here to support you.
My cycling journey began in 2010 after my parents forced me to join a ride in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I was a pain (and a punk) about it and wouldn't even wear a helmet. We had such a great time, I bought a bike as soon as I got home. After a few century rides, two bikes, and 70 pounds lost, I decided to try racing. During my five years of racing, I earned a category-1 road license, winning the California State Crit Championship and getting to racing the Amgen Tour of California’s women’s crit. Since then, I've moved away from racing and expanded my riding to include mountain and gravel.
As I reflected on my racing career, I enjoyed most mentoring Early Birds and VeloGirls clinics, which helped women get into cycling. As a way to further increase women's representation in the sport, I founded Kind Rides Cycling.
As a coach and a queer woman, it is my goal to help women cyclists gain confidence and have fun with their riding by creating a supportive and judgment-free environment for them to learn. You ride at your best when your mind, body, and bike are all working together. I'll work with you to help you feel more comfortable, go further and ride more confidently than you have before.
